A romantic Iranian-American Wedding in Ravello
No wedding destination is like Amalfi Coast! Its incredible view, deep blue sea, yellow lemon trees, cliffs and perched little villages. It seems poorly accessible to modern life styles and it preserves some of the old traditions of Italian South regions.
One of the most charming wedding venues on Amalfi Coast is definitely Villa Cimbrone. An historical noble venues built in the IX A.D.
It lays over a promontory overlooking the sea. For some months it was the refuge of famous actress Greta Garbo. The story tells that she lived an intense love story here. Villa Cimbrone is surrounded by a wonderful park decorated with marble and bronze statues hided in the bushes, a stone gazebo and its famous Infinito Terrace, where sky and sea melt together in a terrific glance. Maybe the best view of the entire Tyrrhenian coast.
The stunning villa is the perfect set up for a romantic and elegant wedding, and that’s why Ava and Paul, two Iranian-American lawyers, chose it for their symbolic wedding with parents and close friends.
An amazing wedding ceremony in Ravello
Ava and Paul then reached their guests in the meadow downstairs overlooking the gulf, where Paul’s father celebrated their love in a touching ritual that they compose together.
Ava was a real beauty in his simple, yet stylish, wedding dress. Her long dark hair loose on the shoulders and the embroidered veil made her look like an Iranian princess.
Groom was handsome too and, most important, very happy side his bride.
Floral arrangement for the ceremony was made in total white, orchids and English roses. A gazebo decorated with strands of flowers stood out from a great panorama over the sea!
After the ceremony, the couple had the chance to take some wonderful wedding photos together with friends and relatives and then left to have another wedding photo sessions in the big garden. In the meanwhile all the guest where taken in a secret area of the garden to enjoy a rich aperitif with some canapés. The event was gladdened by a Neapolitan duo band with guitar and mandolin. So very Italian style!
Wedding reception in the Crypt of Villa Cimbrone
Dinner and after party instead, were set in one of the characteristic spot of the Villa: the Crypt.
Arched ceiling frames the panorama of the coast. The central vault was decorated with leaning orchids and white roses, as well as the imperial table set in front of the landscape and enriched with high glass vases with floral decorations and crystal pearls. Total white.
All the guests and the couple had the opportunity to taste Michelin star cuisine of the Villa.
One the most romantic moment was the cutting of the cake under a fabulous hanging flower ceiling and then it was time for the first dance. The father of the bride made an intense speech and used the mic to sing a song for her daughter. It was impossible to not shed a tear for them.
Afterwards all the guest enjoyed a fun party on the dancing floor with Iranian and American music chosen by the couple and mixed by the DJ. They danced and drunk from the open bar until midnight.
We would like to thank Vincent Hogan from the League of Extraordinary Artists for these stunning pictures you are seeing here, couple themselves who placed their trust in us, and all the staff of Villa Cimbrone who worked with us and helped to reach the goal.
